Where the figures come from
Every number on the markets page is read from our own rollup table. Page requests never call a venue API, and no figure is aggregated at request time.
How the live figures are collected, what they include, and what we refuse to estimate.
Every number on the markets page is read from our own rollup table. Page requests never call a venue API, and no figure is aggregated at request time.
Venues with a direct API are synced every five minutes and shown as live. Venues sourced through Dune are synced every thirty minutes and shown as delayed. Freshness is recorded per source, never as one stamp for the page.
Some venues report volume in US dollars and others in contracts. We never convert one into the other. A total that includes a venue reporting outside dollars is marked partial, and that venue is excluded from the dollar figure rather than estimated.
A venue whose sync fails stays in the list with a stale badge. Removing it silently would understate the totals without saying so.
Categories come from our own taxonomy, mapped from each venue's raw labels by an editor. Unmapped labels wait in a queue rather than being folded into a total.
