Polymarket US has launched five-minute up/down markets for Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and XRP, adding a shorter trading window to the US exchange’s cryptocurrency offering.

Polymarket announced the launch on 27 October, saying the contracts were live in its US app. Its US crypto listings separately display five-minute markets for all four assets under the BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP tickers.

A shorter window for the US exchange

The contracts let users take a position on price direction over five minutes. They sit alongside the 15-minute, hourly and daily up/down markets displayed on the US website, as well as contracts on price ranges and specified price thresholds.

This launch concerns Polymarket US, operated by QCX LLC as a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated designated contract market. Polymarket says its global operations run through separate legal entities. Rules on the international platform should therefore be kept distinct from those governing the US contracts.

The product announcement follows a separate US crypto derivatives launch by OG.com and Crypto.com, reported by Prediction Frontier. That launch concerned perpetual futures; Polymarket’s new listings are short-duration event contracts.

Five-minute settlement terms need separate verification

The accessible Polymarket US crypto FAQ still describes 15- and 60-minute up/down windows and names CF Benchmarks’ Bitcoin Real-Time Index for the Bitcoin contracts it explains.

That page does not establish the individual five-minute specifications for all four assets. The new launch should not be read as confirmation that the US markets use the international platform’s settlement feed or averaging rules.

No launch-volume or execution-quality figures were provided in the announcement.
