S&P DJI and Kalshi agree benchmark and prediction-data deal
S&P Dow Jones Indices licenses benchmarks for Kalshi event contracts and plans to develop indices using prediction-market data.

S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) and Kalshi have announced a collaboration covering index-linked event contracts and new benchmarks built from prediction-market data.
The October 26 agreement makes Kalshi a preferred prediction-market platform licensed to offer contracts tied to S&P DJI indices. Forthcoming contracts will settle against official index values.
Indices built from event-contract prices
S&P DJI also becomes a preferred provider for constructing indices from Kalshi’s event-contract data. The companies identified economics, politics and sports as possible areas for those benchmarks.
The arrangement gives S&P DJI a role in organising the expectations reflected in Kalshi’s market prices. The release does not name specific new indices or provide a launch timetable.
Its licensing terms also state that Kalshi’s S&P-based contracts are not sponsored, sold or endorsed by S&P DJI. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kalshi announced a separate sports partnership on the same day. The NBA agreement covered by Prediction Frontier provides for official basketball data and integrity cooperation, alongside commercial rights.
