Artificial intelligence could help prediction-market operators detect fraud, analyse risk and make platforms easier to use, according to Seda Hovsepyan, BetConstruct’s Regional Business Development Manager.

BetConstruct AI is joining the inaugural Prediction Markets Summit Europe as a sponsor, bringing its gaming technology experience to discussions on the role of AI in market operations, regulatory compliance and user experience.

Prediction Markets Summit Europe will take place on 9–10 November 2026 at Sunborn Gibraltar.

In a Q&A shared by Eventus International ahead of the inaugural Prediction Markets Summit Europe, Hovsepyan said the sector could draw on the gaming industry’s experience with AI to improve market operations and user participation.

“We've already seen how AI is transforming the gaming industry, particularly in data analysis, risk management, and personalization,” Hovsepyan said.

She identified real-time information analysis and the ability to make complex markets easier to understand as potential applications for prediction-market platforms.

Applications for operators and users

Hovsepyan said gaming companies had spent years developing technologies to handle large transaction volumes, analyse user behaviour and detect suspicious activity. Prediction markets could benefit from that experience as operators work on scalability and risk management, she added.

“One important lesson is that AI should not simply be introduced because it's trending. It needs to solve real problems, improve performance, and create measurable value.”

For participants, she sees opportunities for AI to help users discover relevant markets and make complicated information easier to follow. For operators, potential uses include market monitoring, fraud detection, risk analysis and faster decision-making.

Hovsepyan, who works across European markets, also pointed to the potential for technology to help platforms adapt to different regulatory environments and local user expectations.

Transparency and human oversight

Hovsepyan said the use of AI would need to develop alongside clear safeguards and accountability.

“Users need to understand how markets operate, how outcomes are determined, and how their data is being used.”

She called for safeguards against manipulation, fraud and misleading information, supported by human oversight. Drawing on the gaming industry’s experience, she said responsible practices and regulatory compliance were essential to sustainable growth.

Looking ahead to the summit, Hovsepyan said she wanted to explore how technology providers, operators and regulators were approaching prediction markets, with particular attention to AI, regulation and user experience.

The inaugural Prediction Markets Summit Europe will bring together operators, regulators, investors, technology providers and legal experts to discuss regulation, commercial opportunities and the sector’s development. Its programme will examine the frameworks, technologies and commercial strategies that could shape prediction markets in Europe.

Further event details and registration are available through Eventus International.
