Gemini, Apex Partner on Regulated Crypto Prediction Markets

Gemini and Apex Plan Partnership to Bring Crypto Event Contracts to Brokerage Customers

Gemini Space Station, Inc. (“Gemini”) and Apex Fintech Solutions Inc. (“Apex”) have entered into a letter of intent that would see Gemini Titan, a Gemini subsidiary, serve as the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts offered through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) to customers of Apex’s brokerage clients.

The proposed partnership would have brokerages providing crypto event contracts through Apex’s FCM turn to Gemini for both execution and clearing. Through the arrangement, Gemini would become the regulated venue for crypto-based prediction markets made available through Apex. The agreement would also leave room for the two companies to work together on other types of contracts, including sports, economics, and financial markets, although those arrangements would not be exclusive.

The planned collaboration comes as Gemini continues to expand its prediction market capabilities following recent regulatory and product developments. In April, Gemini Olympus, a subsidiary of Gemini, received a CFTC Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) license, allowing Gemini Titan to handle derivatives clearing and settlement internally. Before that, in December 2025, Gemini Titan received a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the CFTC, giving Gemini the regulatory approval needed to launch predictions trading.

Leveraging more than a decade of experience building and operating a regulated platform for crypto, a new and emergent asset class, we deliberately chose to build our predictions platform in-house,” said Tyler Winklevoss, CEO of Gemini. “We believe that predictions are the future of markets, and this strategy allows us to expand our offering and open access to valued partners like Apex as demand for event contracts grows.

Gemini’s latest agreement with Apex also follows a development announced in July, when Gemini introduced stock trading with 0% commissions for certain U.S. customers. The service operates with Apex Clearing Corporation, an Apex subsidiary that serves as the custodian and clearing broker.

At Apex, we’ve always believed in meeting the market where it’s going,” said Travis McGhee, Global Head of Digital Markets at Apex Fintech Solutions. “This partnership with Gemini is about building the bridge between traditional finance and what’s next. Our brokerage clients get regulated access to crypto event contracts without having to build the plumbing themselves. That’s the Apex model.
