Cboe targets November for company-KPI prediction contracts
Cboe says it has SEC approvals to list and clear company-KPI event contracts and now anticipates November, after an earlier October target.

Cboe now expects to launch its company-KPI event contracts in November, after previously targeting October subject to regulatory approval.
In its 30 October earnings release, chief executive Craig Donohue said the company had received the SEC approvals needed to list and clear the contracts. He described the preparations as being in anticipation of a November launch.
The release gives a month, without an exact trading start date. It does not announce that the contracts are live.
A revised timetable for the Robinhood rollout
Cboe’s 30 September announcement with Robinhood outlined binary contracts tied to company-specific key performance indicators. The initial plan covered 23 US-listed companies, with Robinhood identified as the first retail broker to offer the products at launch.
That announcement expected an October rollout, subject to regulatory approval. The November timetable is therefore a change from the original target, rather than the launch of a newly announced product category.
The securities-exchange route
Cboe described the proposed contracts as SEC-regulated products traded on its registered US securities exchange. It distinguished that structure from event-based contracts traded on designated contract markets.
Prediction Frontier has separately reported on Rothera’s CFTC approval for a Tesla KPI swap. The two initiatives concern corporate metrics but use different regulatory structures; the Cboe announcement does not establish that their contract terms or settlement methods are interchangeable.
For the forthcoming rollout, the confirmed update is Cboe’s statement that listing and clearing approvals are in place and that it anticipates November. The earnings release does not provide the final launch-day contract roster or detailed customer eligibility terms.
