CF Benchmarks launches CFB Oracle with prediction-market support
CF Benchmarks’ new oracle delivers signed index values for onchain verification, with price-based prediction markets among its intended uses.

CF Benchmarks has launched CFB Oracle, a service that supplies signed benchmark values for blockchain applications, with price-based prediction markets among its stated uses.
The 27 October announcement says onchain verification is available on Ethereum mainnet, HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain. CF Benchmarks is part of Payward, the group behind Kraken.
The service adds a delivery and verification layer to existing indices. The launch does not change how those benchmarks are calculated.
Applications bring signed prices onchain
In an accompanying technical launch note, CF Benchmarks says it signs each update and returns it through its API. An application then includes that signed value in a blockchain transaction and calls a verifier contract to check its origin and age.
CF Benchmarks does not itself write each price to the blockchain. Applications choose their own freshness limits. The company says signed values had been available to API clients since 31 August, ahead of the public oracle launch.
For a price-based prediction market, this supplies a verifiable reference value that can be used in settlement. Each market still needs its own rules defining which index and observation window determine the result.
Use requires a commercial licence. The technical note also says the service has no onchain fallback; applications that need one must provide it.
Existing benchmark clients are a separate matter
Payward’s release names Kalshi and Polymarket USA among the venues already using CF Benchmarks indices. It does not announce either venue’s adoption of CFB Oracle.
A benchmark relationship can cover the reference price used to settle a contract without involving this new onchain delivery service. Prediction Frontier recently reported a separate benchmark licensing agreement between S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kalshi.
Payward does identify CFB Oracle as the provider for its forthcoming US onchain perpetual futures powered by Hyperliquid. That product launch remains subject to regulatory approval.
